I rather doubt that towing caused that mechanical failure. With the marks as high up as they are on the primary I would suspect it let go on a wide open run with the primary shifted to top gear. I also amazed that with all that damage it was not heard. Should have made quite a rattle!I have towed allot of sleds for many miles over the years and NEVER seen anything like that.
I would not know if the towing had anything to do with it.
I suspect the part could have come apart and start hammering on the clutch faces at anytime.
I always figured while towing the torque sensing secondary will just find a new gear ( lower) as we roll along. Granted I get it the LOAD is greater over all.
What do you guys think?
