Other than checking for worn ramps and rollers, belt height or any binding is there anything else i should be doing or looking for?

Blow em out with compressed air & use a green scotchbrite pad to clean the faces. The main wear points are the secondary pucks that the helix rides on & the second one is.....ummm......nope...thats it.

How many miles do you usually have to change the pucks at?

on the buttons i think the white spring eats them faster, you can look at
them, if wore very much i change mine i got 700 miles on mine, there
not cheap. also i think running nickel plated helixs work better.
