I shaved down the collars a bit on the primary rollers to stop the bolt smashing on and off against the spider, it works and took about most of the "bolts in can sound" down, i also added a rubber washer on one side as I left a little slop in it.
The question is about how the original clutch silence kit works, I have seen the small o-rings in the kit but do they fit ontop of the collar or are they in between the collar and the bolt head?
In my homemade fix I made do with what i had at home and im sure the rubber will fail rather quick, I'm worried with the rubber pad between the bolt and collar gone it will leave the roller collar and bolt a 16/inch slack that'll let the bolt/nut undo itself in a catastophic manner.
Should I just grind the collars flush and skip the rubber?
