Clutch noise

well here is the first post on the atv section for me . I put an EPI clutch kit in my 05 kodiak 400 which has about 3400 km on it . ,now the inside of the clutch is rubbing on the shroud that sits behind the primary. i have had it off and on a 1/2 dozen times and can't seem to find the problem.I even went so far as to cut out the part of the shroud that it was rubbing on,which helped for a while but started making noise again about a 1/2 hour into the ride .any suggestions would be apreciated as I'm at a loss.This is the first hint of trouble I have had with this machine.

sounds to me like you have something out of order when you put the machine together.

Have you tried returning everything back to the way it was .If the noise is gone ,the source of the problem has been narrowed down to the new or different parts you installed

I can see where the clutch is rubbing on the shroud .i just am not sure why.I am starting to wonder if the clutch is warped

Take a straight edge on it..

Did you put a washer or shim in behind the clutch where there should not be any?

No parts where they don't belong.

well I took the quad back to the guy who did the kit for me and he discovered that he had put a washer in the wrong place when he re assembled everything .It's in order now and working as it should . Thanks for your input on the subject ,I was a bit red faced as was he but hey, that how it goes some times.
