What’s best way to get old weight bushing out and new in without damaging bushing?

Use a press. I typically use the new bushing to push the old one out.

That’s the problem, I have no press and trying to do it another way. The old cat weights I could just use a 1/4 socket and tap out with hammer.

How about using a vise?

This, I do have Fleecer! Trying to save money and save ones I am pressing out from original Yamaha weights which have hardly any miles. Knowing me, I’ll probably ruin them and have to spend more $$$$$ I have one that is a little sloppy on pin and want to replace before it wears stuff out.

Use a drill bit. Find the right size grind off point, wrap a little tape around it because that is the side you hammer on. Then tap bushing out.

One side for wheight bushings and the other for roller bushings.

A 1/4 inch socket set may work also.
