Planning a trip to the Black Hills. Can i get by with stock clutching on my ltx se ? If I need to change weights which ones and do I need to change secondary. I am clueless on this department?

The power band is so wide on the Viper I wouldn't mess with clutching for a short trip. Our Viper XTX at over 10k altitude on stock weights ran about 7600 to 7800 rpm and was still not that bad. Seat of pants dyno says run it the way it is.

Wind the secondary 10 or 20 degrees tighter and ride it.

I rode my Nytro out there last year. Flatlander. Didn't do anything to it. Ran fine.

Thanks guys Iam Probably going to leave it alone . Some of the guys going with are carbed. Is jetting more of an issue for them than clutching? How about a little oil in gas?????

I rode my Nytro out there a couple years ago and didn't touch a thing. I would say leave it stock and ride it. I don't think you will have any issues.

It will work ok, if you want better performance let me know as I have changed the primary spring and helix and then the sled works very well out there.

Allen might hook you up, but I went there and I didn't change a thing and it was fine, but I lost around 300-500 rpm.
