Have a 2018 Sidewinder LTX LE (137 track length) but added a 1.75 lug track. Completely stock setup aside from the track. Heading to WY and wondering if I need to take some weight out of the clutch in order to reach full RPM in higher altitudes? I realize this isn't a mountain sled but it's what I have to work with at the moment. Last year I took my 2015 Viper LTX to WY with a 1.75 track but went with lower gears and took the two outer rivets out of the clutch and it worked great. Again, not a mountain sled but the Viper was able to achieve full RPM in higher altitudes. Besides buying a new sled, what should be done with the Sidewinder, if anything to insure max power? Thank you in advance. Love this site. Have been a stalker for a while now.

I think you will want to drop 1 gram tip weight but the Sidewinder will conpensate boost to keep power close to what it is at sea level not much change is needed

Sorry I’m not more familiar...but does that mean take out one rivet? I’m not sure what one gram tip weight means. Thank you!

Your stock weights have three 4.5g rivets in them Yamaha’s makes 3.1 and 3.6g rivets so you can drop .9 or 1.4g by replacing the tip rivet
