I will try to make this as simple as I can. I have an 03 rx1 mountain that I would like to dial in a bit better. Heavy hitters in the primary, black spring withe white stripe in the secondary.
The sled pulls really well from 0-70 on the speedo. From 70 to about 109 on speedo takes forever. She stays at 10200 to 10300 for the most part and will wind out to about 10500.
The sled does have the air box mod along with being rejetted to match.
I am thinking it is most likely something in the secondary needs changed. I would appreciate some of u guy's thoughts.
Helix?
Spring wrap?
Something else?

For one, I would take a little weight out of the tip of the heavy hitters....like 1 gram.
Depending on how the sled reacts from start to top end, I also think you could take out 1 gram (maybe 2 grams and leave the tip the way it is). If you are stabbing the throttle and the sled pulls low rpms from take off and mid range,(which is what I think your sled is doing), this is where you want to take weight out of the base (heel) or middle.
The way I like to clutch is on a full throttle run on my RX1's when I had them is.... 10,300-10,400 right away, then climb to 10,900 and then finish at 10,700.

Nos, thanks for the reply! I will try that as soon as I get somewhere with snow. A little more information if it helps.
At launch, the sled sets back into the skid lifting the skis about 18" or so. The skis settle back to the snow at about 60mph. At 70mph it is like you started pulling a trailer with the sled. ( I understand skis in the air is wasted power, but I ride a lot in powder so need the front a bit light.)
Again, thank you for your time and I am looking forward to learning a bit more about these things.

Very true, I have a cabin on the taquemenon (spelling. ..no idea.) Just north of Hulbert. Not even looking like 2 tracking will be an option over Christmas break.
