Why so much rpm's?
Just curious....I am running stock clutching so far.
Starts at 9900 rpm and finished at 10,200.

MAX POWER WITH ECP FILTERS IS AT 10000 ALL THE WAY TO 10700
SO GO FOR THE HIGHER RPM
IF YOU WANT ACCELERATION IT SHOULD HIT MAX POWER RIGHT AWAY AND HOLD IT ALL THE WAY THROUGH
IM RUNNING HAMMERTIMES THAT I MODIFIED A LITTLE TO GET TO MY LIKING

Have you done any testing with the 40-10 heelclickers? I have these left over from my SRX.

I spent the whole season last year trying to get the hc's to work on my srx last year with little success.
I guess that I fear going through all of that again.
I bought the white spring from HC and the silver Yamaha spring for the secondary.
Maybe I will try soon.....I have so much fun racing sleds on the lake.... I do not want a bad set up for a 3 day weekend.

you gotta get the blk spring-its a 140/400and use the 40-10 wgts15mm rollers
load the hell outta the shoulder-like 7grams!
nothing in the tip or the middle
engages at 4000-
anytime any speed it shoots to 10700 with secondary set at 80
silver spring
trail riding is awsome because the revs are low and you are using the midrange torque to keep you cruisin
but at any time you nail it-hold on
any sled from a rolling start is no problem at all
ive tried regulaer heelclickers and heavy hitters even tons of yammie wgts(ive got a huge supply of this stuff used)and so far this is the best

Dyanrex, I have the HC 92-11Y weights. Is there that much difference between these weights and the 40-10? The base weight of the 92-11Y, at least mine were, is 50.8gr. If I use 3.4 in heel and 3.3 in tip, silver secondary wrapped to 80, it hits 10500 everytime but I didn't like the high engagement for trail riding. Can the 92-11Y be made to work similarily like the 40-10? Also, you mentioned a black spring (140/400)...is this a Yami spring or aftermarket.
Thanks,

THE WTS YOU HAVE ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN THE HAMMERTIME 40-10
THE BLK SPRING IS A CUSTOM ONE FROM SUPER TORQUER-
WHAT SPRING ARE YOU RUNNING NOW?

Dynarex, I guess I did forget to mention the primary spring...I am using the HC white spring.
Also, I didn't realize the Hammertimes were the 40-10 weights; thought they were an older version of the HC weight since someone mentioned they had a set left over from their SRX
I am also running the HC-X secondary kit as well

FOR A LOWER ENGAGEMENT YOU CAN RUN A YAMAHA ORANGE/SILV/ORANGE PRIMARY
ITS 100/310
USE THE SILVER SECONDARY SPRING AT 80
THE HELIX SHOULD BE THE 42/34 HCX

Yes, the helix I have w/ the HCX is the 42/34 and the secondary with silver spring is at 80. I will give the Org/Silv/Org spring a try; just need to pick one up. I have also tried using the stock primary spring (w/shims) which did in fact lower the engagment and it seemed to pull just as hard with the white HC spring but top end wasn't the same as with the white spring.

IF YOU HAVE SHIMS YOU CAN USE 2 \1MM TO GIVE A LITTLE MORE TOP END BUT TRY IT STOCK 1ST=AND NOTE YOUR RPM

When I used the stock primary spring, that is exactly how many shims I used.
When you installed the HCX, did you notice that one roller made contact with the helix whereas the other two did not? I thought I recalled reading about this before the "Great Crash" but am not sure; just curious if you ran into the same thing.

YEH MY ROLLER DID THE SAME-THEN AS IT WORE IN A LITTLE ITS OK
DONT WORRY ABOUT IT
THE STOCK SPRING HAS ABOUT THE SAME ENGAGE AS THE OR/SIL/OR BUT AT TOP ITS ONLY 280LBS WHERE AS THE O/S/O IS 310 LBS
THE WHITE HC SPRING IS ALSO ABOUT 300 ON TOP
