sounds like a bad sensor or a poorly plugged in one.

thanks ski for the info , now i need to figure out why its doing this .
Code 12 is for crank sensor. The 10A fuse in the starter relay is for the FI system which includes the crank sensor circuit.
If you're blowing fuses check the wires between the crank sensor and the harness. The sensor is mounted on the back of the cases behind the primary clutch.
Have you R+Red any parts that could have pinched or melted a wire? Have you wired anything in to the harness like heated face shield?

no i have not wired anything into those wires, all ive done is tether , temp gauge and i did it like allen said to .i'm not sure why this happen, and of course we got some snow today ..... its going to the dealer
Just some friendly advice, I'd recommend you disconnect your tether and temp gauge and see if your problems go away before you go see your dealer. Otherwise you could end up paying the dealer to fix a non-stock wiring issue.
Good luck.
