i just got up to camp and my sled wouldn't start (2007 Attak GT). Turn the key and the dash lights up the fuel system charges up but when you turn the key over to the start position -- no joy! Played with it for a while, and got it to start by playing with the brake lever. Then when I ran it around the house a couple of times and warmed it up it ran perfect. i shut it off and waited about 5 minutes, and I turned the key and it started right up. I figured that it was just a one time burp, so I shut it off and went inside for a drink. I came out a couple hours later and same problem -- no joy! This time when I played with the brake lever it didn't help. I tried turning the bars, wiggling the wires following down the riser, and finally resorted to rocking the sled back and forth. Somewhere along the way I must have hit or touched the right thing because she finally started right up and ran normal. Once warmed up it starts without a problem. I am at a loss -- sled is not throwing any codes. Has anyone else run into this problem before? I would love some input - I'm not even sure where to start looking. Wiring, starter, stater, ignition switch??? Help -- I would hate to get it running and end up stranded 100 miles away. It's early enough to salvage the weekend if I can figure out the problem. Help!?!?

If dash lights and fuel pump runs I'm going to say starter relay. Mine did same thing, after new relay no more issues.

Rode my sled all day...
Well I got the sled to start and rode all day today -- about 80 miles -- and ended up at the local Gin Mill for the play off games. i went outside for multiple cigarette breaks and started the sled twice over the course of the night -- when the time came to come home the sled would not start. finally threw a code -- 11. I looked up the code and i don't even understand what the code means!!! " 11 Cylinder identification sensor No normal signals are received from the cylinder identification sensor Continues to operate the engine based on the results of the cylinder identification that existed up to that point Unable/Able." WTF!!! Help!!! I want to ride tomorrow, but my sled is down the street at the bar and won't start. Where exactly is this sensor located on the sled? Thanks for any help you can offer.

sensor is located right above the valve cover toward center. look for any loose wiring below your headlight pod.
