picked up an 06 apex er in aug. from dealer they put a new chain and case on it at the end of the season had it out tonight and it kicks out of reverse almost every time must be out of ajustment or what also put 15 miles on and used 2 bars on the gauge had an 03 rx1 before this and it was good on fuel as i hope this as good.thanks i live woodstock n.b.

You are going to need to take the case off and look it over most likely they put the 2 washers for the samll gears in wargon. Look at the yamaha part finder for a http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/parts/home.aspx

reverse just needs adjusting and it will be fine. depending on how you ride you should get 12 to 14 mpg
