Doe anyone use a helmet communicator and experienced static through the earpieces? On my old SX I needed to swap to Champion resistor plugs to eliminate and wondering if I will need to do the same for my rage.

Presently using Collett 900 comunicators with my RSVenture. Sound is crystal clear. Much better than my previous ride on a Polaris using ChatterBox FRS communicators.

Not sure, but i dont think these sleds come with the resistor plug in them....I bet if you put those in you would be good to go!

Love them, scared to ride trails without them as I can't warn the others behind me of the idiots and can't talk with the lady to see if she is still back there or in a tree. They only reach in the woods about a 1/2-3/4 mile but that is better than nothing.

I just ordered a pair of GMRS radios with Motocomm headsets for the helmet.

I think this setup should work pretty good.

Just got cobra gmrs radios and firefox throat mikes, will try them out on Sunday and see how they work.

Hey 'dere, VectorER...how'd those throat mikes work out?

I've been using GMRS for a couple of years with Jabra molded earpiece and flexible boom mike under the balaclava. They work fine, but VOX is a no-go and I have to switch the headset to PTT on the little thing as it comes out of the jacket. I just picked up a couple of 2 watt Talkabouts at Cabelas and noticed that they make a throat mike for it. I was tempted, but decided to hold off until I found out if it would work any better in VOX mode.

What's the verdict?
