Comparison testing

Thank you for the testing and report. Even though these are results that we already know about, it is worth hearing more. Despite this continued success, there will always be clowns who will argue, make stupid remarks and tell you that your testing methods were wrong.

I would say that the air kits and the clutch kits have pretty much been tested in EVERY SINGLE ENVIRONMENT available, all with favorable reults. I cannot believe that someone would actually still try to dispel that these parts and mods work.

:ORC

Nice job guys!

Bob Dukester will kill me if I answer your question about his warrior. He warned me not to get into a pissing contest. This was a comparison test only. Scooby reported a while back about his warrior verses Dukersters. But because Scooby has already let the cat out of the bag, I can say this, it kicked #*$&@ big time. Truthfully I don't know what he has done to it. I am a speed freak yet top speed is really scarry.[/quote]

Hey Dukester we all want to know about your real HOT Warrior! So all of your brother's on this forum can kick some serious butt throughout all the world!! ;)! :-o :yam: :4STroke:

i believe there was a post not long ago about the air filters icing up under very cold conditions.....is this a problem that everyone has had or was it an isolated incident.?

Air Filters Freezing Up

I have ran the filter kit in -45 degree temps with pre-filters and did not have any problems. ;)! I too would like to hear more about Dukesters Hot Warrior set-up! :yam: ;)!

Great post Dukester!! Thanks for the hard work and information.

The only question I have is with the 8500 rpm and just wanted to confirm when this occured. I assume when you say they were clutched for 9800 maintenance rpm the clutches wouldn't start to upshift until 9800 rpm.

Therefore the 8500 rpm was prior to any upshift and was relatively early in the race distance wise (~25-30 mph?). Correct?

You didn't happen to measure any 0-60 mph times or 1/4 mile times by any chance?

Steve

THANKS for all the work you guys did on this test...Could you tell me by the speedo what was the top speeds you went up to? I have a 05 RX-1 orderd so I was very interested in the out come. The test looks very good untill that 'side bar' I dont understand why a heavier WARRIOR would be faster then a lighter RX-1, with the same set up and condition's. With the 05 RX-1 being 30 lbs lighter yet it has left me a little concerned. Was it just a hook up problem on the 2 RX-1's???.

It is sounding to me like there are a LOT of you who are taking these results the wrong way, and who have TOTALLY MISINTERPRETED the things that I have said about the filter kit.

1) I have *never* said that it makes no difference, just that the difference is NEGLIGIBLE for anyone but serious RACERS.

2) Hay is not snow. On snow, there is more slippage, which results in the engine speed climbing MUCH FASTER, thus reducing the difference between the sled with and without.

I will admit, and have NEVER DENIED that under higher traction conditions, that this will provide a *slight* advantage.... if you think that three sled lengths in wet hay (or 5-10 feet in snow) is worth... $(whatever he's charging), THEN THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT. If, however, you are more like ME and feel that a win of less than 100 feet is NO WIN, then this product won't do it for you.

Now that being said, the testing WAS VALID. It demonstrates the difference between having the filter and not having the filter, however, it MUST be noted that these *out of designed conditions* tests exaggerate the differences.

Dukester, the results are what I expected with about a 3 or so sled lenght advantage in the shorter distances. For me in 660 on ice the results were simular. Sound like you loaded the motor with lots of fly weight. Great post.

3 sled lenths is alot if you ask me. Try to make that up in race against your friends, not pro's. I was going to buy the kit anyway but this just solidifys my decision. Equal sleds on equal footing? what more proof do you need?

Much better Traction with that 136 inch skid, that's the key. If the run is long enough the RX-1 will most likely catch the Warrior. But for most conditions running your buddies my money is on the Warrior.

Sounds to me like you won't be WINNING any races until you get a turbo. ;)!
