Comparison testing

Why is it that for long distances Harley guys trailer their bikes while other makes ride em, Is it a reliability thing or comfort?

Mighty: We like to see differant areas than we see every day and we want the women to come along. We trailer to a area and then ride from there. We then move to a new area and see the sights. My wife rides behind me on my Ultra Classic and Boss's wife rides her Fat Boy and Boss rides his Ultra.

Boss Hog and I generally ride every Wednesday. On Sunday and most evenings we ride with the wives.

Reliability hasn't been an issue over the last ten years. Boss and I typically ride 12,000 to 15,000 miles a year and trade every 3 years. Our out of pocket expense is minimal due to the excellant trade in value.

I admit I prefer the Aspencade for smoothness but nothing is like a Harley with a nice set of pipes out on the back rodes. Except for a RX1 sled.

i have been away for a few days and i,m looking for the results. did they get pulled?

Yes they did get pulled and I really don't want to speak for anyone but the test results were favorable towards the air kit equipped sleds. They confirmed what most of us already knew.

For some reason this topic is very sensitive for some people. Not exactly sure why so it may be helpful if you directly e-mail or PM any questions to those involved.

The group however finally did do an independent "proper" test under the same conditions during the same time element. It seemed very thorough and for that I for one am grateful.
