IS THERE A CORRECT PLACE ON A 2007 ATTACK TO WIRE IN A HEATED SHIELD PLUG? IS THERE A FACTORY ACCESSORY OUTLET?

I am going to wire mine to the accessory plug (had to purchase separately). I think they were standard on gt models.

not standard till 2011 i think. if you wire to the dc outlet on the dash it will have enough power and be fused or else wire to the batery with a fuse.
Wire it to the Acc plug. Upgrade the fuse for the Acc plug to a 5 amp and you are good to go.
Remember to solder your connections and protect those connections with shrink tubing.

Thanks for posting this. I have to check my fuse for the season coming. Last year the fuse blown and changed at -20. That was cold.

One thing that always bothered me is the standard hookup with the rca connections. If you unplug from the helmet or the mid point you are left with a dangling "hot" lead. They call those man killers.
One guy in our group went through at least a dozen fuses learning not to let the end dangle down to the tunnel.
TIP: Get a standard male to male 6' rca patch cable and epoxy or glue it into the helmet side. Eliminate the mid connection. Plug and unplug from the sled, you will never blow another fuse and you will always have a cable on your helmet and can connect to any sled.
If you are jumping off fast to help a friend or whatever, just throw it over your shoulder. In transport and storage just leave it inside the helmet.
I always run a fused always on connection on the sled so when we park and I remove my helmet it stays on and doesn't need to warm back up.

This is what I have done on all my sleds. I epoxy the plugin for the heated shield to the bars . Run a one piece cord and leave that plugged into the helmet.
Its a one handed operation to plugin in case you forget and have to plug n while driving. Done that a few times.
Some who like the two piece cord system wire the cord so the ground is the center that protrudes so when it does hit the running boards you don't blow a fuse.

I like to run the + to the battery and - to the frame. I like it hot all the time for when I stop and take a break, etc. I use to run it to the acc as well. But when you shut down the shield goes cold.IS THERE A CORRECT PLACE ON A 2007 ATTACK TO WIRE IN A HEATED SHIELD PLUG? IS THERE A FACTORY ACCESSORY OUTLET?
It takes so long sometimes to clear up ice etc. depending.
