Hello fellow Yamaha riders, I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the control rod on the mono skid is suppose to have any tension on it or does the rod just slide in and out real easy and just bottom out on both strokes. I looked at the tech area and it just shows the breakdown of pieces and parts but does not say whether there is a tension or dampining feel with it. I took mine off and ended up having needle bearings falling all over the place when I took out the bushing. Can I buy an new insert with all the needles and just change that?

Yes it suppose to slide freely back and forth until it bottoms in one direction it limits the amount of wheelie or skis on the ground. You can buy any part of the transfer rod thru Yamaha.
