Hey guys,
going over my sled before the season starts and noticed that the front coolant bottle is empty. that should have coolant in it right? I dont have a manual so . If it does what kind of coolant should I use ? Yamaha ?

thanks

Mine is almost empty every time I check it. Mine this year was just barley visible when I went over my sled. I usually take to the full mark and after the first ride back to barley visible again. I think its just a nytro thing. No visible leaks I just think it spits out the extra it doesn't need through the overflow.

It should not be empty, if it needs some it will pull it out and if it gets hot it will push some in.

yea I checked the coolant in the radiator and its full. never had an over heating problem.

Each one of these sleds seems to have their own coolant level, overflow bottle Happy Place. When the motor is cold, a Nytro in my garage shows it just under the full mark, and my Attak is like yours showing empty.

Yes I think your right about the happy place. I top off all my fluids prior to the season. I just notice that when my nytro is cold the coolent seems to be low in the overflow tank maybe when it' warm it will be on the full mark. Never hurts to keep an eye but never had a coolent problem either.

Manual pages attached here... there is a window behind your port side shock, full and low, no plastic removal to view it... if you don't see coolant in the overflow tank you might still be ok as it is essentially an expansion tank but why risk it, top it off with ONLY Yamaha coolant (blue, special coolant) just so you are not the guy stopping your friends.
