Hey I bought a leftover 2012 XTX this year. I'm looking at buying a Trail Tank and wonder if I should be changing the exhaust donuts proactively when I have the tank off? I have 4500km on sled and don't hear any leaks?
I'm reading on here that they should be replaced with copper ones ?

I have the same km's on mine and I changed mine. I was worried about them. When I replace them they looked like new still. The other guys on here are changing them out with 3000 to 4000 miles on them. I wouldn't be to worried about them yet from what I've seen on my sled. But if you don't want to go in there again change them out for piece of mind.

Donuts are aftermarket. Check with Crewchief on here he is a Canadian supplier for the donuts. Not sure about trail tank suppliers. Do yourself a favor and replace the fuel pump bolts with something stronger, they are M5's, not sure of length. I had one of the originals snap off and I was leaking fuel like a sieve. Read about this problem in the past and it does happen.

Call Seth at trail tank, he is pretty good and will ship direct to you. They may have a deal later in the season.

I cant say enough about putting one on. The range I have now is crazy. Now i gotta ditch hanging with people with dinky tanks or thirsty 2 strokes lol.

I had my sled apart last night to take my cracked header out and my copper donuts look brand new....almost 2000 miles this year...

Thanks for the info guys.
Sent an email to trail tank today. Said 50$ freight to Canada. Any one have an idea how much duty I'm gonna get tagged with coming north of the border?

I believe it's 7% if they catch it. If you ship USPS there's a chance it might slip by but I doubt it with a box that big. They'll sometimes get you for pst at the door too and an extra handling fee if they feel like being dicks

sled toys are great to deal with and their in canada!!!!!

That's where I bought 2 sets of copper donuts from

Hey PEIyamaha.....big plus on SledToyz in Ontario. Ian is great. I installed a set of copper donuts just this fall...and only had 2500miles on my 09 xtx. Proactive...like you said....and also have the TrailTank. Two big additions you'll be glad you did. Goodluck.

Hey, I just installed my trail tank about 3 weeks ago, I ordered directly from Seth, he shipped it USPS and I didn't get charged any duty.
