when installing new copper donuts should they be installed dry or should i use some hi-temp silicon on the mating surfaces thanks

I would use some to fill any gaps. At last that's what I'm going to do when I do them this summer.
I would think they should be put on dry.

I used Ultra Copper. I followed Rocker Dan's thread to a "T," just my new donuts were copper instead of whatever Yamaha made them out of (some type of vanishing metal?????
