Looks good. With all the LCD technology these days I bet yamaha could got to a an all LCD speedometer+tach with GPS that you could download maps to. I would pay extra for something like that.

ironviper,

I highly recommend a helmet cam with a Lanc remote. I tried mounting my camcorder like that (although not on a smooth 4 stroke) and the vibration made it unusable. Even if you don't want the cam on your helmet you can mount above your guages so the windshield will keep the snow off of it. You could also mount it somehow to the hood. I got mine at Viosport.com and I also had a stalk mounted to the tunnel for back facing shots which I didn't use much.

Here's a sample.

yeah, i will have the gps on it most of the time, i will probably only use the camcorder once in a while, and staying close to camp too, its a little expensive to take out on the trail/off trail on longer rides..

Iron, I just purchased a Garmin Quest 2 and wondered what you used for a mount. I have looked at ram mounts which are probably the standard but didn't know if you did something different. Let me know thanks
Steve

i had a ram mount permenantly mounted to my viper, so i left the base on the viper and ordered a handlebar mount (just the u bolt base) and a camcorder base, which is just the ball with a bolt coming out of it and attached that to the camcorder. now i can take the gps mount and move it from my attak to my viper or throw the camcorder on either one also.

I really like the idea of a camcorder while riding. I’m looking into helmet cams for next season. For those looking to mount a GPS on their Apex/Attak, their may be an easy mount to try before purchasing the actual Garmin mounts. I have the case for my Garmin Legend which has a belt clip on the back. Have not tried it yet, but it should easily clip on to the handlebar pad and power itself through the power outlet.
