Has anyone removed the coupler blocks from there nytro shortie to increase weight transfer? Looks like the rear torque arm might hit the rear wheels. Hope not.

I rode mine for a few hundred miles last winter without the blocks in there. Mine was stretched to a 136, so the wheels were a little further back, but I dont think they would hit either way. To test it, I put some wood blocks under the track by the rear axle and compressed the suspension to make sure everything still worked properly. It all did. And the sled became a wheelie riding machine, way more fun in the ditches and in the powder. That is how I rode it out west too. Totally sucks in the woods, but more fun everywhere else.

In deep snow, and for carving... they work way better without the coupler blocks. But you can't turn on hardpack...

I just removed the plastic sleeves from the couplers. I want to see how it'll work come this winter.

I did that on my old ZR9...worked really well on an AC skid.

I got 144 picks and I cranked up the preload on the center shock as well as softened up the rears and the skis still wont come off the snow. I have put my feet all the way back on the running boards and whacked the flipper and nothing. They are planted. I can stand my 800 Doo straight up in the air and catwalk it all day long but my nytro just stays flat. Maybe it just aint got enough power....I dont know. Runnin outta ideas. My main question though was abt the possabilty of the torque arm hitting the rear wheels if I remove the blocks. Anybody know for sure?shaddow44 said:These things don't transfer enough for you lol?

I had some good times on my Rev 800 with the skis pointed to the sky. I was a little worried about giving too much of that up going to the Nytro.
What about in deeper snow? Same thing??
My 144 MTX will drag the bumper in deep spring snow so its not a power issue.

She nose dives in the deep and when I crack the flipper the front stays down and I usually get stuck. Thinkin bout going back to a rev. To nose heavy. Sucks because I got a yammie because of the reliabilty.revster said:crank shaft said:I got 144 picks and I cranked up the preload on the center shock as well as softened up the rears and the skis still wont come off the snow. Make some drastic changes and get rid of that ski pressure. The front ends are heavy but if you get it to hook up and the susp set up they will get the skis up no problem. But wider skis would help a lot for off throttle in deep snow. I would go as drastic as to try changing your skid mounting if need be.

make sure your front strap is all the way loose.

Let out your limiter straps all the way.
