I have a CPR kit and have had nothing but problems with the manifolds. I sent it back to Jeff three times for fixing or replace and every time it has broken again.

Has anybody tried the manifold from Turbine tech, it has a life time replacement. I ride in the mountains and heat cycling. Also I put 800-1200 miles a year on my sled. Below is a picture of turbine tech manifold off ebay[/img]

i think whether or not they fail is sometimes based more in the conditions that they are used in. as you stated, you are a high altitude customer, thats where most failures did occur on the older headers before they were beefed up. as for other headers to try...this header seems to have alot of butt welds, butt welds makes weak spots in your header. maybe give ted jannetti a call, his new header may work for you. i know i have customers out there with thousands of miles and no problems yet with our current production simons cpr header. some of the earlier headers did crack, (some still have not) but we warranty repaired them for free. and we still do. jeff

Jeff

Are you saying you will fix or replace the manifold.

I talked with you early this year and you said you would not warranty the manifold.

Please advise

I still dont understand why its ok to sell a $5K kit with a header that continually cracks and offer them to go buy another $1K header that will work. If the kit is not intended to be used at that altitude was that known ahead of time?

kinger. reread the post, not all original headers cracked, i haven't had any of the new stlye headers fail. high altitude is the hardest environment for any header to survive in. we sell our kits with or without headers if someone wants to use another header. jeff

Jeff What does the new style header look like??..Could you post a pic?? Whats the difference between the old and new style???...Thanks

The front mounts have benefits and some problems that come with the design ( just like any kit) Header problems are common on front mounts more so than rear mounts , but even they have had some cracked exhaust pipes I guess it could be said Turbos are hard on header pipes period.

You have a mod sled -- suck it up and fix it with the best part available.
Its just the way it goes sometimes I know it sucks been there too.
