So now with all this knowledge in here i have a couple more question's. Are you saying that with an adjustable boost controler you could just dial your boost down to 6 or 7 lb of boost if you got cought having to run some 87 octane and be fine. Also most of the guage's i see on boosted sled's are basic automotive guage's, Are they good to go with some snow on them? Would you be ok if you got cought with 87 and stayed out of the boost till you could get back to 93 or is this not possible? Thanks, kviper

A boost controller will take you from the stock setting on your turbo, 7-8 lbs and up. You can't dial the boost lower then what your wastegate is set for. I run a automotive style boost gauge with no problems, I just got a full digital set of gauges from jim @BPE though. Just to make everything match.

Torco fuel accelerator actually works. $18 for a 32 oz can but can save an engine. 1/2 a can in a tank of 87 will give ya 93. it,s not a booster but an actual race fuel concentrate.

I've heard good things about this from a few guys whose opinion I trust. Haven't tried it out, but sounds like it could be good insurance in a situation like this.

As AJ has described, a boost controller will take you up in boost from whatever the baseline of your wastegate is. I'm going to back Don's down a little bit to 7 lbs and he can use the adjuster to go up from there when circumstances warrant.

Well said Jim, I think you're bang on. Sorry about hijacking your thread kviper. I've also heard about Torco fuel accelerator, I'll have to pick some of that stuff up in case of emergency.
Jim I think we're on the right track here, heading in tomorrow to help you wrench. Guess we're going to need a pretty big BPE sticker on that sled too, eh?????

Well boys, it’s alive!!!!!!! Picked up the sled this past weekend from Jim and Bob Manning at BPE. So a big thanks goes to them for getting-r-done. These guys know how to pull wrenches on these sleds. So now I’ll have to see if I can get that thing ready to get out on the tar a few times and get some tuning/break-in happening. Again thanks for all the help on this thing guys.
