The CR10EK plugs I just purchase from Royal came with just the threaded end, no solid terminal as on the original plugs.
Do the CR10EK's come with solid plug ends?

No,you have to buy 4 terminal or take the one of your old plug.

You have to purchase the ends seperate unless you purchase the plugs from Ulmer Racing then they come with the ends.

Some guys just bought 4 cheap plugs with the caps and took them off and thru out the plugs. Things we do for 2 more HP. LOL

When you put on the screw tops DO NOT put locktite on them; it will reduce the amount of voltage to the plugs ; fuel mileage and performance will suffer also starting in cold weather will be harder.

Will they be prone to fouling too, especially in warmer temps and idling speeds??? Mine fouled out in 200 miles during those described circumstances. I however did apply loc-tite on the threads. never did have the cold weather starting probs though. DOUG

gas mileage went from 90 miles light on to 80 miles 21 litres or 5 gal. when changed plugs to ngk iritum ix.

I have run these plugs in 100*F+ temps while racing in the summer (which we put extra fuel in the low end of the fuel curve) and down to -30*F in the winter and have yet to foul a plug in the last 5 years (2003 RX-1).
I cant believe NGK does not send the terminals with these plugs. Now whats with that?

I don't buy it.
For starters if you tighten the cap up (not even super tight), there will be a good metal to metal contact because the glue will squeeze away where the threads make the most positive contact. On top of that with the very high voltage that plugs run on, the electricity will easily jump a small amount of glue (it jumps an air gap by design at the plug gap - and the gap there is much larger than any thread clearance by a huge amount.
Also its fairly common practice with military equipment to locktite electrical connectors and this is with low voltage connections (12V, etc.) and I've never seen loctite cause any problems here either.
You don't need much loctite to lock a thread up so if you're concerned don't put much on.
If I was to install plugs with screw on tips I would use a little loctite to keep everything consistent and tight.
The number one cause for fouled plugs with a fuel injected motor is starting the motor and not letting get up to full operating temperature plus not driving it before shutting it off. Every time you start a motor up, crap builds up on the spark plugs and then burns off when it reaches full operating temperature. If you do a number of cold start cycles without the warm up you can end up with fouled plugs.

Tried to get the end caps off the OEM Plugs and ended up snapping the electrode mid-way down the length of the plug. Do the end caps come off the OEM plugs and if so HOW DO YOU GET THEM OFF?????

The O.E.M. plug ends don't come off.

I've never seen the need to loctite the cap ends. They stay put for me fine without. I went to a local bike shop for my end caps. They took them off some old plugs for me. Cost,,,free.
I didn't even know that they came without caps.I ordered mine from Ulmer racing.
