Hi guys,
I have a 2007 Apex GT (Stock). This machine has always started great in any temperature. Lately when starting cold, the RPM's are low (not the usual 2000 when cold). So I decided to change the spark plugs (still the original ones in it). I've been reading about the CR9EK's & CR10EK's and decided to stick with the 9's. However, when I removed the original plugs they where CR9EB. There the same length and everything but the K's have a threaded tip where the B's are the fatter tips. Can I use these 9EK's.
Thanks for your help

I read that the CR10EK's would be worse for cold starting. This still doesn't solve my "tip" problem. Do I just srew on a tip?

Never had any starting issues with mine or heard of any with anyone else. You will need to get the screw on caps for the plugs.

Does a CR10EB exist? This way I wouldn't need the screw on plugs.

You want the EK series because of the dual electrode.

Use the 9EK'S and don't worry. They will still perform better than the EB'S. Personally I have used 9 and 10 EK'S and have fouled the 10's once.

Havn't had a problem with my 10ek's but I usually keep my sled in the garage and I always let it warm up good before taking off...
If it concerns you stick with the 9ek's they will be fine..,

This is why I run the CR9EKB same plug as the Phazer uses. It sure made mine feel more responsive when I put them in also. Plus my son has a Phazer so we can use the same plugs.Mighty said:You want the EK series because of the dual electrode.
