Cracked Rail...

I found a hair-line crack in my rail at the idler wheel bolt (06 Apex). A question for those with cracked rails...when you found the crack, did you immediatly replace the rail(s) or did you continue ride it for with the rails cracked? If you continued to ride it...did you add any additional support (like the Pioneer 2-bolt support)? How many miles?

depends how bad it look and where exactly it is....you should take some hi res closeup pics for us to see.

some have had them welded up....some are too bad and replace.

Thanks Rockerdan. The sled is at the dealer getting warranty work done to it now (they replaced the left side heat exchanger...which was leaking). They would not cover the rail though. I will get some pics and post them when I get the sled back. The crack is right at the 3 o'clock position where the inner idler wheel bolt goes. I will get some pics up soon though. I am buying rails from a Ty advatiser but was trying to figure out if its possible to squeez out a few more miles..lol
