crap again

i was installing my up bushman kit and when i put the left tie rod back in the steering block and started to tighiten it the tie rod started drawing into the block well it keeps going and going and pretty soon i look and the tierod is drawn in so much it cant even move. so i take it i just need to replace that whole block block now . has the ever happened to anyone here? if not watch out for this guys.

More stuff is broken by over tighting than ever will be broken by under tighting ?
