revster said:We have a Nytro with a backcountry in our group and another with an Intense. Both tracks work very well I don't think there is a wrong answer. The only difference between the two riders is the one with the backcountry comes to the mountains with us every year, the one with the intense does not.
Thanks for your input.
The Intense or Backcountry will be a huge improvement over my rip saw for off trail. I did a lot of search on this forum on both tracks.
Personally I am sold that the BC is better track over all for the money. The lungs seem more rugged and provided better traction even on hard groom trail. With the BC, I could finally consider playing in the Mont Valin fresh powder. On the down side, my dealer told me that it will seriously increase the noise level on groom trail. What I am not sure about the BC and fright me is how it will rides on hard groom trail? That is for the moment 90% of my riding and how the slide will last? I don’t want to change them often.
The Intense as excellent review also, great traction on and off trail, the only bad thing that I have found is that the lungs are softer and might tear faster. Someone told me that it is a track that trench??? I am sure that the Intense is more trails friendly, not as noisy as a BC.
I removed the Cobra from my list only for off trail capability.
Some info on me: When I ride trail alone, I like when the trails are like moguls, jumps and destroyed. That is why that I bought a Nytro. I am coming from a Sports ATV back ground and race 4 year of Downhill mountain bike. I don’t care about how fast I can ride and carve corner on groom trails. I have a family (3 kids), we like to take off on weekends and ride a lot of trails. I also pull a sleigh on those long rides. The off trails attract me a lots but my experience so far have been deceiving with a lot of frustration + work getting that Nytro out.
I will have to order my track this week and I am still not sure what way to go. If you guys have experience with them track, I would love to get your input.
Sorry if my English is bad.

I have been running 1.75" tracks for years and I really don't notice an increase in noise on the trail, nor do I notice vibration. I'm sure there is an increase but I find it too minor to make a difference. When you get to 2" and up I start to notice it.
I went on a 500 mile trail trip last year with my 136x15x1.74 track and I never found myself wishing I had smaller lugs. My buddy with the 144 BC was on the same trip and had no complaints.
For me 1.75" is the perfect lug height. I can go wherever I want and not give up anything on the trails. The couple MPH I loose off top end does not matter to me, I am not a lake racer.
So my personal choice would be the BC.

Thanks for your input Revster
I went shopping for track this morning. 2 shop told me to go Intense because that the BC will not last on hard pack trail, 1 other told me to go BC. I will shop some more this week and see what other shop have to say.

The Intense track is on order, I wonder if I should get my skid powder coated red? Or Black? I like what Artic Cat as done in Orange this year but it might be too much red on my Nytro.
I saw this sled on a French Forum. The guy had a mix of carbon graphic and powder coat on his skid, it just looks sick. I can't find the closer pics.

Two great track! For my use, most of the local shop highly recomended the intense. They told me that the BC bat would break and would not last as long on our hard pack groum trail and because of the Nytro power. They could be wrong. Every one on this forum that have à BC, swear by them, but a lots of them ride lots off trails. Lots of guys here in Quebec that race use the intense. I must say that was a hard decision. I don't Know of this will help you!
Confused?
