Ummm as durable as paint because after the chrome is applied they put an automotie clear over it. There is no warranty and turn around is about 3 weeks max. Look at my web site, click the questions button and scroll down to the chroming parts section for info about this process

What about bubbling like on the chrome windshields? Is there an issue when the sled goes in a trailer or hot area, that could cause the finish to boil/bubble off? The windshields have been having this problem for a bit.

hood vents

Cubby do you have any idea what it would cost to do all of the hood vents on an apex?Thanks Shane

Ok,
I have only chromed 1 set of flexible plastic hood screens and it took 2 attempts to do it. I first used the customers existing screens and they came out real bad. Something to do with either wax or oil on them that caused major problems. My second attempt was with all brand new screens still in plastic bags from Yamaha and those came out pretty good. However, the flexible hood screens DO NOT hold up as well as the regular plastic chrome. A stone hitting a screen while riding WILL do major damage. I can do a set of hood screens for $200.00 and this price includes getting the new screens. I just want you to know that these screens are very fragile and do not last but a season two. I would love to sell these things to you but I want you to be informed about them first................Cubby

Ummm, the bumper holds up pretty good. I actually hit a tree with mine and just scratched the clear coat that I was able to wet sand and rub out...................Cubby
