Anyone running curve skis with 6" Shaper Bars? I haven't had a chance to test out my skis yet, but when I bought them and the snowmobile show the guy I talked to worked for Arctic Cat and he swore by the curve skis with this chassis. He recommended I go with the 6" Shaper Bars and 4" leading edge. Now I am reading all these reviews of people complaining about heavy steering, and it looks like a lot of you guys are running 6" round bars. I was just looking on some reviews from people running the 6" shaper bars with there curve skis.

I have 4" shapers on mine. First ride was in wet heavy snow in spring Muni. No issues with heavy steering.

This season I added shims and rode once in set up trails and it steered plenty hard. Thinking I'll take the shims back out and try again as is.

Wow. Curves I have ridden all steered noticeably easier than my Pilot 6.9's

Running 6 " shapers on my Curves, very happy, steers way better than stock ski in loose or soft snow. Started with 6 " round bars, were ok but I like shapers better. Shapers last longer as well.

I run 6" shapers on my curves. I also have the leading edge, but it is well worn and probably not helping any longer. I have had these skis on two other sleds so the leading edge probably has 6,000 miles on it, that I'd why it is worn so much. I don't believe you need the leading edge on the Viper with curve skis, so save some money. I love my curves, no darting at all.

I have a new set of white curve skis for sale with brand new 6 inch round bars $400

I thought mine steered hard with the shapers. I also bought leading edges and took them off. FYI I am selling my curves with the round bars, the shaper bars and the leading edges for a hundred bucks. They have a few thousand miles on them.
