Has anyone accually run a set of Curve XS skis on an Apex ER. I'm seriously considering a set of them for my '06 but they are very pricey and before I spend the money I was hoping to here if they are as good on an Apex as advertised?

I have not but! I just rode an 09 Nytro RTX yesterday. It was a dealer demo and did about 50 miles on her with the curves. They are a world of diff. from the stock skis especially when you let off the gas. The sled had quite a push but the sled was not properly set up and the snow was powdery and had not been rolled or groomed.

My Attack with simmons on it was having some trouble with front bite also but not as bad. I can tell you that the Nytro was not studded and I almost lost it several times and the guy that brought it for the ride put it off into the trees on a rutted section the rear end step out and boom he was gone and this was only at about 40 mph.

We played in a field with a foot of fresh stuff & I don't think there is as much floatation as USI's, C&A or even the simmons because they get so narrow in the center.

For $600+ I would want them to ride the sled for me when I was tired.

Just my opinion but there are a lot of skis out there for $400 that offer as much or more (depending on your riding style).

I do have a buddy that has a set on an 06 RTX and he likes them but the steering can be a bit harsh at low speeds and they do bite hard on hard packed or bare parking lots. When we stop for gas he sometimes cannot make the sled start moving again without a push.
