Curve XS Skis

there is a set for sale in the classifieds with 150mls on them.

I thought they said Robbie Malionski Uses these skis on his skidoo? When i saw him on sledhead 24/7 he had C&As.
 
I've heard alot of good things about them. I wouldn't think bad about them just because there are a couple sets for sale. People sell stuff for lots of different reasons!
I'm not an xpert on them, but from the reviews I've read and heard, they are an excellent trail ski.
 
well now that i have mine lined up, it steers and tracks awsome. now to screw it all up and do the front end bushings and swaybar.
 
Curves

I finally got my suspension dialed in with these skis. I'm running 7.5" shaper bars with the 7.5" of carbide in the middle directly under the spindle and they Rail in the corners. Great ski for my style (ditches and trails) and great customer service.
 
when my front clip was pooched, I was able to dial in my sled with my curves. Now with the updated clip, she was twitchy & darty again - go figure. Need to get one more ride on her to dial it in & they should be awesome - just like before.

BTV - As for the classifieds comment - there are Apex's, Nytro's & Phazer's in the classifieds - lots of 'em - are you implying that all of Yammy's sleds are POS?????? or just the 2 sets of Curves that are listed?
 
Blueballer, I have never implied on this site that Curve skis are a "POS". If that was what you took from my post then you were not paying attetion. I simply directed a potential buyer to where they could get a product used.

My fair and honest opinions on these skis and many others are posted all over this site, just search my name, and you will find them.

I think it is great that you love your skis, never try any others and you will love them for ever.

I've got a set of Curves but have not yet tried them on my Nytro (been waiting for my shocks to come back). I have run them on my Vector and I really liked them for trails. They steered precisely and predictably. I've run my Vector with the stock skis, Ultra Flex III's and VK Professional skis and the Curves were by far the best on the trail. They didn't dart and didn't cause the sled to suddenly stand up in the corners like the Ultra Flex III's did. Also, they didn't push like the stockers or the VK Professionals.
 
I rode my buddy's RX warrior with a set of Curves w/ 6" Shaper Bars on them and I was very impressed. If I had it to do over again, I might have bought them instead of my Slydogs, although they are a bit spendy. They turn easy like stock skis, but they rail pretty well on groomers. His front end used to push bad in loose snow, but now it sticks and he can throw the back end out around corners- it's very predictable. They don't seem to float as well as my slydogs though, so I think I'm stickin' with what I got. I've said it before, but I think alot of skis, and other products that involve improving the handling of sleds get bad raps because people don't adjust any suspension settings to dial them it. They just buy the products, bolt them on and expect miracles- and then b*tch when they don't get them. Just my .02$

Northerndoc,

I agree with you 110% about the purchase of aftermarket products. Many times bolting on an aftermarket product does require some tuning for an individual's specific riding style and snow conditions. Today's machines are very responsive to minor adustments due to the rider forward designs. Taking the time to dial in your setup proves to be very rewarding when you find the sweet spot.

I am happy to hear that you are enjoying your slydog skis. They build an outstanding product, and are a very good company to deal with.

Thank you for the vote of confidence on our product. You seem to have a good understanding for sled setup, maybe one day we will get you on a set of our curves.

I've got two rides on my Curve equipped Nytro and they work quite well. It was raining on my first ride and the snow was slushy, sloppy and heavy. I only rode on trails and the skis were predictable in the corners and didn't dart. Tonight everything had frozen solid so the trails were filed with frozen ski ruts and everything was rock hard. The conditions pretty much sucked but the skis handled well. They definitely turn but didn't dart. It's like their aggressive but without the grabbiness of C&A's. I also rode off trail for a while in crusty snow just to see how they would act. They seemed to be less effected by the crust than other skis. A lot of times, crusty snow can make the handling of your sled way too responsive and the front end can get away from you. I definitely noticed the crust but it was manageable.
 
I am loving mine so far. I have about 900 miles on them and the only thing I am going to change is the carbide. It came with the 08 specific carbide, and does not provide enough bite for me. Other than that, the ski looks great and performs great.
