Like many lucky ba$tard$, I scooped up at 2009 leftover Nytro XTX a month ago. Sold the 2005 RS Rage, and pulled my Curve XS skis before selling as they are literally still brand new. Nick from Curves is hooking me up with the different Nytro spindle rubbers so I should be good to go here shortly before the snow flies.
Looking for some feedback from XTX owners running the Curve XS ski. Do you guys think I should ride the XTX stock for a few runs as a "baseline", and then install the Curve skis? Or... not waste my fuel on those lovely stock Yamaha skis? If I did install the Curve skis immediately, any immediate suspension changes I should consider right off the bat with this ski?
Thanks guys...

If you are planning on selling the stock ski's, I would go ahead and switch them now. As far as a baseline, the ski's may react totally different, so you will not want to waste your time dialing it in to the stock ski's.
If your keeping the stockers, do like Daranello, run'em till you get good snow!

"snirt" (haha) is not to bad on the skis but one thing you'll need to stop immediately is riding snow banks on the side of the road with one ski still on the road. You'll grind the outside edge right off in no time. As far as general trail conditions go though... plan on 10,000 + miles. Hondo has over that on a set and they look GREAT!
The snow is so close I can taste it!

Time to start riding hifax Daranello! Because our skis are so rigid along the outside and unlike most skis, they'll take the entire weight of the machine on edge with no flex. UHMW is tough, but its no match for a 500lb sander with a 20 grit belt moving 30 fps.
