I just wanted to share this if anyone is wanting to make a cheap exhaust. I used a Thrush 24041 muffler. Fits damn near perfect after some minor fabrication.
I made this a couple weeks ago and finally tried it out yesterday. I like it but I must warn you it is extremely loud at wide open throttle. I'm going to try make a restrictor plate and see if that quiets it down a bit.

Are you able to keep the plastic surround that goes under the back of the seat? Like does the tip of the exit sit exactly where the OEM one did.
