sorry guys i know this has been covered more than once but i searched for it and i just can't find what i need. I bought an apex seat for my 04 warrior and i know i need to cut the tank cover or buy a nytro one to do it. i'm just not sure how to go about cutting the cover what to use or how to measure because you can't really set the seat in on top and get it perfect. anyone with information would be great!!

On your tank cover, measure up 3 1/4" from the bottom in the center, mark it, then draw a line from your mark to the outer edge at the bottom. Repeat for the other side. You will end up with a piece to cut out that looks like 2 pieces of pie back to back (Fat in the middle and to a point at both ends. Hope this makes sence. ;)!

PS: I used an Air Saw to cut mine. You can use a saber saw, die grinder, dremel tool or just a hack saw blade. Just take your time. I trimed my edge of the tank cover with a door edge gaurd. Others on the site have done the same and it works well.

I dont know what the difference is in the color of the wires because I put a Nytro seat on my sled and it just pluged in. You must be using a Apex seat. I think most of the guys using that seat are splicing the wires. It shouldnt be too hard to figure out with a decent volt/ohm meter.
