Put on 400 miles in Bayfield Co. WI last week and trails were perfect except for the fact my 2007 Attak with Slydog powderhounds were all over the trail! Buddy has bone stock 06 Apex and his did not dart around as much, even my buddies behind me said I was fighting to keep er straight. My spring preload is almost zero, pulled limiter up one notch. Question is what else can be done and do they have WOody's duelies or another type of duel carbide that will fit the Slydog powderhounds?
Thanks for the input :o|

Hey there, I had the exact same problem with my slydogs. Jack up your front end and see if the a arms are loose front the back, mine were sloppy as heck! I added oilite bushings, 6" shaper bars, ski savers and the darting is 95% gone, I may need to had a 1/4" shim to keep the front edge of the carbide up but that is it. They work REAL nice now.

Check your front end if its loose you will need to tighten it up with oillite bushings from Ulmer. You have to remove the air box and battery tray to get at it.

I love the skis now!

I ran Slydogs on my Attak for a couple years. They were set up with Bergstron triple points (8"), ski savers and shims.

Kinger is right in that you need to make sure the bushings are tight so the alignment does not change.

Here is the KEY for Slydog performance on an Apex/Attak.... After you are sure the front end is tight, set the toe angle to 1/8" TOE IN.

Yes I know the manual says to toe it out... and it is true for every other ski I know of, but for your sled with Slydogs... toe it in.

Enjoy! They are great skis!

That's the first thing that came to mind, the front A-arm bushings, will check and replace as needed. Only have 3600 miles on sled but from what I have heard on here the stock bushings are junk.
Seemend to handle alot better when the shlis were new 2 years ago. Have not checked the toe on front end in awhile either!!

I had 2900 miles! When I pulled them out they looked new to! They were just sloppy from teh factory. The oil lites and shimming the A arms with cut up pcs of the old bushings worked to eliminate all slop.
