Hey Everyone!
Just want to say that Dec. 1st is my favorite day because the trails officially open in most of the UP Michigan! Even tho there is no snow currently there, it still makes me smile to think that at anytime now, I will be seeing tons of trailers heading to the great north to snowmobile
Once the snow comes, I just want to say be careful out there..... I know your heart is pumping hard, the adrenaline is flowing and the need for speed is twitching your thumb.
To all who have a SideWinder or have one coming.....please ride safe out there! I know everyone wants to be the biggest and baddest out there...but this sled has soooo much power (especially with add-ons) that it will be a big change from non-turboed sleds you may currently ride. Even the turbo guys that are messing with this sled are seeing faster speeds, quicker take offs and freight train pull over their current turbo sleds. Just be careful and know your surroundings. This sled has become very popular, the hpr is the most on the market, the speeds are crazy fast......but you need to remember.....you still only have 1 brake rotor and 1 track trying to stop you at these speeds. Be safe! Ride smart! If you are going to run or race someone....find/check an area where you know you won't hit deer or an ice crack or heave. With that I say... HAPPY TRAILS EVERYONE!!!

Amen NOS-PRO! Although I look out the window here at work and it's raining... At least I know that my Nytro is in the hands of a clutching expert
and it should be a good season!

Ya.... even though I have a place in the UP I wait until pretty much Christmas/new years break to go riding. That first big snow before has the whole mid west up there riding there brains out and dropping there guard. Yes, be safe out there as your not the only one on the trails. Have great stories to tell not bad ones.

Needed to bring this post up again as I care for all my snowmobile buds and gals out there.
Please be safe.
Leaders of your groups.....don't take chances, don't assume that the riders behind you can see the road you just blew across by not stopping at the stop sign, because you're in a hurry. (Yes, this happened and the result is a man never made it back to his friends and family). Use hand signals often and wait for your rider who follows you. Yes, he/she is YOUR responsibility to make sure your group doesn't get lost or if something happened. Don't think that because you see a headlight behind you, that it is the next rider in your group...... most often it is not (and this happens more than you think). You may be fast, you may know the trails.....but the people following you are in snow dust and the more sleds there are, the worse it is.
Followers, don't think that there is no one coming around that corner.....there usually is. There are no yellow lines, but you need to stay on your side around corners.
Off-trail riders - make a spot that overlooks the area you are riding in, so everyone can meet back there for a head count before leaving to the next ride area.
And always, save the drinks for after the ride
