was thinking about getting one but wasn't sure the decible level of all of them and being that my dad doesn't want me to have a louder pipe. i need to convince him that they aren't that loud. so i need one thats not that loud but you can still tell the difference. i was thinking about the skinz ultra Q not to much louder than stock but still a differene and not to bad of a price either. any input would be helpful
thanks
Darren

I too am looking for one that isn't too much louder as around here we have plenty of land owners, and I won't own a "trail closer" like so many others. Given the gains and the price, I'll stick with stock. Btw dave, are you still riding with the bent subframe (you can pm me if you don't want to off topic the post).

the ultra Q is a quality pipe that sounds great, it's not obnoxious, but it's not even close to stock. i like mine a lot

exhaust

I like aftermarket exhaust as long as there are positives. You must gain horse power and you must save weight. Most aftermarket exhaust systems are louder than stock so ...
I drilled out my can on my 700 and it sounded nuts and I still think back and say I loved that sound, but I wanted more than sound. I put pipes on and gave me 25 extra HP and got wicket performance and not just a noise, I got POWER.
It's all about making your sled better as you know so don't just put on a noise maker.
