Hey Guys,

I am not familier with deep snow suspension setup but wanted to get some advice for setting up my 07 short-track phazer for deep snow. What limiter strap position will give the best performance it deep snow conditions? Any other simple setup tricks that would help?

Thanks

If you running a shot track with 1" lug go limiter strap all the way lose or the second to last hole.

limiter strap loose, take off the swaybar (which i may be thinking of doing for some testing), & a skinz float plate. maybe some a-arm protectors for some more floatation.

with a stock phazer i think the only thing you can really do is the limiter strap like mentioned.

New skis really help, my powder hounds actually float enough to pull the back of the sled up. I was very impressed.

Factory track is plain useless in deep snow. Look for a new one or find a used one and trim it down on a tablesaw.

I saved hundreds doing this as have many others.

Good luck

picked up freeride track which was day and night in the deep and C&A skis which kept the ski higher in the snow unlike the factory torpedos for skis that usually find boulders and stumps.

oh ya and the track was 400 canadian and the skis were from an ebay store from Flint MI they were 460 canadian dollars. all worth every canadian penny.

Thanks guys for the good information. These sleds are a blast in deep snow, they just don't have quite enough traction. My sled only has 450 miles on it so can't justify a new track at this point but will likely be getting some new skiis soon.

Thanks again
