Only kidding!!! Raced a 300+mile SE (153 studs running about 10300 rpm's)that was bone stock with my really good running 06GT yesterday and was really suprised how fast an un broken in 11 Apex is. We raced numerous times and he would start to walk on me after about 700 ft and wouldn't look back. I would say he had about 5 or 6 sledlengths in a long 1/2 mile run on an airport. It seemed as it was gaining more as the distance increased. My sled has run over 118+ many times on ice and beats most of the older Apexes around here. I would say this sled is capable of 120+ speeds easily . When I rode it I was really impressed with the throttle response and wicked midrange pull. The power steering wasn't bad either. I would say it easily has 10 more hp than mine . In the hands of good tuners we have a real winner here. All dyno bullsht aside this new sled flies. I will be ordering a new one next year. Will race him more on the lake as soon as we get some decent friggin snow and his sled breaks in more. I may have pull a plug wire on him if his sled gets much faster...

I have made numerous posts saying the 2011,s are way faster even with low miles inspite of any dyno claims. Thanx for the verification. At over 1k miles these things will really haul.

I agree and have seen the same with my Apex XTX.

Now thats a real world comparo. Now Im very interested to see how my yamcharged 06 runs against a stock 11.. Then a charged 11??? That will be interesting, I think the competition will be so hot on the lake this year the ice is likely to melt....

The sleds were leaving really hard on the frozen ground which was covered by 2+ inches of powder. Studding was similar and weight was pretty close. I could come out of the hole a little quicker maybe a sled or so probably due to my higher engagement 3800 vs his 3200. By the 1/8 he was going by me and just continued to out pull me. I know my sled isn't slow because I have outrun 800R's and stock AC turbo's with the taller cobra tracks and numerous Apexes with and without clutch kits. I am impressed. D&D cycles is selling Yamahas now and I read what Glen Hall was saying about the new Apex on hardcoresledder. He said he was very impressed by how they run. He said they run like a true 160 hp sled. With a little work he had one running 10.45 and 109 on the old forge shootout track.

I know what you mean. Crazy fast when they hook up. When you put the tunnel adjuster full soft it hooks even better. Back end squats like the wife's FX45. My bud just installed a clutch kit in his Apex XTX. His is faster than the old Apex but can't touch my 128.

Got a g37xs and it hauls too!!! Crazy that the 128's are faster than the 144's. I would only expect this on a long ice lake run...

I have a g37 as well. It's amazing how quick that car is. It's heavy too. Drop a couple hundred pounds on that thing and look out. Have an 11 apex as well. Trying it for the first time tomorrow.

I raced a g37 with my talon. It's very quick in 1st gear until I get my boost up. g37 is a real good looker.

The sleds are very close. Difference here is the driver. I know how to make it hook up. Can't mash the throttle on this 128. If I blow the hole shot the XTX is gone then I have to reel him in. Anyone notice the 128 suspension is mounted further back compared to the 121?

10,300 is nothing. More amazing is how much better they are when the stock clutching starts pulling 10750+. Gosh, do you suppose they could be over 160 HP??? LOL. Something is not right with the 151 showing on the shootout sled.

We'll find out what the difference is between the 128" and the 144" My good friend, neighbor and co-worker borrowed my trailer yesterday to go get his 128" machine. All we do is race and test in the field for days.

Going to be interesting when there are a few E TEC's out of break in mode.

Prediction: Every E TEC on Doo-Talk SMOKES every '11 Apex ever made...
