I just watched the newest Snowtrax and they did the R.A.P. tour. On this episode Luke and his buddies did the 3-5 day tour and they all rode Yamaha's. after the segment Luke talked about the reliability and gas mileage of the Yamaha's and explained why they chose Yamaha for this ride.
The next segment was a review of the 2010 Apex and what should be improved. Everything they suggested was everything Yamaha did for the 2011 Apex! It was nice to see Yamaha finally get a great spot on the show!
Also they had a segment on a gentleman breaking a world record of 2400 kilometers in 24 hours on a 2011 Apex. Again the reliability was mentioned.
They did mention Yamaha made a high end sled that was very dependable, I think that is something we all know! If you want dependability and no worries you should go with Yamaha!
All of the talk about the other sleds being lighter and faster really doesn't matter if you spend more time repairing than you do riding!
Way to go Yamaha! Thanks for making a Great product!

very good review,i did the rap tour 3 weeks ago and it was a blast, the scenery is unbelievable, only downfall i thought was how curvy the trails were ,and they are narrow,i guess im used to the northern part of ontario where the trails are at least 15-20 ft wide in most areas, and muuuuch straighter

i loved watching that...i want a new sled every year! i really want the new apex...but i can't. must........wait..........wife........kill......me.
i will most likley get the 2012

My friend has a cottage on the lake where the Snowtrax guys ride from in Minden. At any given time he has more toys parked there than most dealerships! The OEM's are always giving them something to try out, poor fellow probably has no time for golf!

Thats the best part, cant stand long flat straight trails......yawn!

its fun sometimes, but 2 days non stop,200 miles of tight twisttys is too much for me,but it was still awesome,i ride in any conditions,it dont bother me,i just prefer straights

Smooth wide trails with lots of speed is the way I like to ride!!! :-o

I've watched every episode this year. That is the first time they road a Yamaha. They are huge Doo and Cat guys. Did anyone happen to watch them on that snopro? Looked like fun!!!
