Did you find that if you were the first one of your sledding group to get an RX-1, other guys soon followed?
Ive got 3 of them to convert. My dad called Saturday to see if I could get him a deal on a 05 RX1 ER in Candy Apple. He still can believe I can beat his 1000 Cat with my 4 stroke. Everyone who has ridden has absolutely fell in love with the motor. Cool story, one of my buds rides a 600 HO Renegade X package. He was always slamming the weight of the RX1 until he rode it. The first thing he said is "The Motor makes you totally forget about the shortcomings of this sled (weight). He was very impressed with the way it handled on the tight and twistied and about died when he grabbed the throttle. You will love the RX1...BBY
I switched to a Warrior last year after 20 years with Polaris. Not that I had any problems with them. Never been back to a dealer with my Polaris's for any repairs. The friend I usually ride with has snow checked a new RX1 ER after 25 years with Polaris. Put about 3,700 miles on my Warrior so far, went for a short 25 mile ride today in a short sleeve shirt.

Only one of my friends changed. He was a Ski-Doo rider, gave up riding in the midwest, and bought a mountain sled. I got him to go up to Michigan for a weekend and loaned him my sled. He had a choice between my wife's Viper or my RX-1. He rode Vipers before and so he took the RX-1 and loved it so much he bought one on the way home. He played in the powder with it and entertained a mountain version, but after going out west with his Ski-Doo, he heard that the RX-mountain was awful.

I love my sled... But none of my buddies do.. They say its too heavy to be a good trial sled and my articcat buddie complained about the seat being WAY HARD compared to his zr... (which i agree) THEY ALL THINK IT SOUNDS COOL!! And they all agree it gets awsome gas milage for being a VERY fast sled..
I do agree the engine makes you forget about the shortcomings of the sled..

Converted one from a Thundercat and one from a Poo 600 XC. Both absolutely love their decision.

Cat guys are the hardest to convert. We have a saying, " you can always tell a cat guy, but you can't tell him much." :lol:
We converted a 800 REV guy to a 05 RX1.
The remainder of the Polaris guys in our group will ride Polaris until they die. The have run down Yamaha for so long and they would eat to much crow if they switched.

converted two xcr 800 owners (since i bought my 03) that bled red for years! one is going to put a turbo on right away!!!!

It took one ride for someone in our group to convert. He got a Warrior (stock), and then rode mime with the ECP-Kit and HH Clutching, and all he could say is:
