Am I correct to assume that the heavier rear spring from the Attak will fit the Apex and the heavier spring from the Apex will fit the Attak?

Yes you are correct - the only spring that won't interchange is the one from the Apex GT - Electric Ohlins. All other sleds with the monoshock (Attak,Rage,Apex ER/RTX,Vector ER/GT) will interchange due to having the same style Kayaba shock. Check out this post for more info on this subject.
