Does anyone know the exact difference between 2008 and 2009 lower control arms other than the ball joint. Or is the ball joint the only difference. If i'm doing ball joints anyway can I replace a bent lower on my 2009 with a 2008? 2008's are a lot easier to find and cheaper. thanks

I have searched and read alot on the front end differences in spindles, steering arm location, upper and lower ball joints, camber, but nothing on the lower control arms. Has anyone ever compared them side by side?

I thought the balljoints were changed in 2010 or 2011. Are you talking about the old ones having the spacers built in and the newer ones not? if so my 09 XTX had the older style, but the new 11 MTX arms came with the separate spacers.

I might be wrong about the ball joints. All I want to know is if the lowers were included in the 2009 front end change or if 2008 lower arms will work on my 2009.

Is the answer to this easy to find and I'm just not looking hard enough?

I just compared the part numbers for a bast 08 nytro and a 09 xtx and the part numbers are the same except for the beginning. 08 was 8GL and 09 was 8GL.
I used an 09 XTX because it has the new suspension but the older a-arms.
So I'd assume they are different, not sure how though.

I compared the numbers too. I thought maybe the difference was in ball joints because the part numbers are for a complete arm including the ball joint. I thought I read somewhere that there has been 2 ball joint updates 09 and again in 10 or 11. You might be right that there was only one. I think ill just have to keep looking for a replacement 09 or newer. I am suprized no one has compared the lowers because in pictures they look identical
