I currently own an '09 Vector GT, and love the adjustability and ride of the suspension. Virtually no complaints. I'm looking at buying a leftover '09 APEX ER, and was hoping someone could give me detailed opinions of the difference in front end ride quality, cornering differences and adjustability. Does the ER have any adjustability at all in the front end, or are you locked into factor settings? I love the clickers for ease of adjustment, but how much of a difference is there in overall front end handling adjustment between the two suspensions?
Any and all input would be appreciated.

You might want to post this question in the General or Apex section to see if you get more responses. I would think the difference between a Apex to a Vector would make more of an impact than what shocks are on the front. My 2 cents. G.B.

Fusion,
My experience is based upon an Apex ER vs and Apex GT. I found the ride on the GT to be more smooth than on the ER. There were no harsh bumps as the shocks seemed to soak everything up. I did not notice any difference in cornering.
The shocks on the ER are adjustable by changing the amount of pre-load. This can be done on the trail but is normally done inside a shop. In other words, you have to set up your sled for what you think the conditions will be that day where as you can adjust on the fly on the GT.

Thanks for the information concerning APEX GT vs. ER. I was hoping I would hear this regarding no difference in cornering, vs the bump absorption. If I have the ability to adjust preload on the front ER I would set them for my general ride conditions and preference and be done with it. I could probably live with this given the fact I barely touched my front clickers on the Vector GT once they were set at the beginning of the year.
I haven't decided yet whether I want to part with the IQ LX CFI or not. If this makes any sense, I want the APEX yes, and it is a good deal relatively speaking, but I don't necessarily want to sell the IQ all that bad. No major complaints with the IQ and a lot of positives.
