I recently purchased a 2006 RS Vector Mountain SE and it seems like the machine will very easily tip over on soft snow or powder compared to the 1996 Mountain Max 600 that we had. I understand the rider has to lean but this is crazy and quite a workout. Is this the nature of the beast or can I improve on something to better the handling?

Yep.. the early 4 strokes are a lot to handle off trail.

lots of guys put taller risers on for more leverage to throw it around easier. heck i put one on my vk as it handles like most mtx sleds with the narrow ski stance.
