The little push button part of the dimmer switch on my 03 RX1is missing this year for some reason. Has any one else had this happen? I wonder if there is a cheaper fix than a new switch.

I broke the buttons both on my Vector and Nytro. It's a stupid design and last time I checked (year ago) Yamaha wanted to sell me a whole dimmer assembly rather than just the button. Some guys are able to get the buttons but I'm not sure how they do it.

Akrider,
If you're in the Valley, go to Performance in Wasilla and talk with the dealer. They had some of the buttons at one time. Been awhile.

I did away with the OEM dimmer switch on my 05 Rage and installed a toggle switch closer to the grip. The OEM switch is in a good location IF you have hands like Wilt Chamberlan ot Shaque.
The new switch and location are much easier to reach in a pinch when there are oncoming riders and while standing.
Just go to Home Depot and get a switch, some rubber boots and silicone it up in the back to weather proof it. Mine has been on there for three years with no problems.
