Cause I’m a DIY fanatic I decided that I should try to build a set of A-arms with all the healthy measurements (+3” 26 Caster). My take is to use an OEM front and rebuild it. Here is the result.
Lesson learned:
It is a big task, it takes a lot of time
every mounting point has some (strange?) angel that must be recalculated
its very hard to accurate measure caster
You need to bend the tie rods
hard to source material, at least here in Sweden (thin wall tube)
the space is limited
Would I do it again? No….
The kits on the market is good value compared to do it yourself.
Good work good to see other people that try things themselves. I did my plus 3" forward a arms 2 summers ago and yes it was a lot of work to figure out but I didn't think it was that bad. Mine look a little different than yours
