I believe I heard somewhere on here that the phazers dont start up as nice as the apex's. I am thinking about buying one and just trying to get as much info as possible. Thanks

My one starts, always. But not at the first revolution. It has to build some oil pressure first. Built-in safety I guess.

So far, mine starts excellent. It does the fast idle for a bit, then about 7-10 minutes, it kicks off fast idle, and it's ready to go.
I haven't yet tested it below -15*F, but at that temp, with no windshield, I wouldn't ride very long anyways. haha

Mine sat outside in the wind all night at -30C and it started right up in the morning.

I have both sleds and was at my cabin last weekend and it was -30C
The Apex started after 4-5 seconds of cranking
The Phazer started after 9-10 seconds of cranking

Atleast twice the cranking time for the Phazer.
I worry about starter and usually crank for about 7 to 10 seconds per try, when cold always starts 2nd time.
